One missing item shouldn’t cost you the order
Proton Sourcing will check your branches first, then opted-in distributors and suppliers, so your rep can source a missing line from the quote, with fewer stock-check calls.
Illustrative workflow. An RFQ email from Acme Industrial becomes quote Q-2093 with four lines. Three are in stock; the backflow preventer is not. Proton shows sourcing options from three distributors. Steve selects distributor B, and every line on the quote is covered.
Find the missing line and keep quoting
Compare stock, source price, shipping and timing. Proton ranks the options and shows the tradeoffs; your rep chooses what fits the order.

Your stock could be someone else’s missing item
Opt in to offer inventory. When another distributor buys, they keep the order and customer relationship, you make the sale, and their customer’s identity isn’t shared with you.
Talk about supplyingStart with Sourcing, then add modules as needed
Use Sourcing on its own. With more Proton modules enabled, shared product, quote and inventory data lets agents carry work across those tools, with your ERP still in place.
Spot buys, without the scramble
Find items you don't stock through partner distributors, vendors and the open web. Opt in to supply other distributors too.
Proton Sourcing is a coming-soon module that will help wholesale distributors fill customer requests when their own stock comes up short. It will look for the missing items and put a recommended source on the quote line for a rep to approve. The goal is to help you keep more of the order, without turning every nonstock line into a separate search.
Yes. Proton Sourcing will check your own inventory before looking outside your business. If you have other locations, that will include their available, excess and slow-moving stock. Your team can put inventory already on the shelf to work and avoid buying an item you already have elsewhere.
No. In the planned Sourcing workflow, partner distributors and suppliers will see the item and quantity requested. Your customer’s identity and selling price will stay out of their view, so your reps can source the missing line without exposing those details.
Yes. Proton connects to any ERP, or several at once, and our in-house engineers build the integration. Sourcing’s planned workflow will write sourced lines back to the order in your ERP. Our team will work with yours to define which sourced order details go back, and your ERP will remain the system of record.
No. Supplying other distributors will be optional. You’ll be able to use Proton Sourcing to find products without listing your own stock. If you choose to participate as a supplier, your inventory can appear when another distributor needs an item you have, giving slow-moving stock another chance to sell.

No. Proton Sourcing is coming soon. You can register your interest in early access and talk with the team about the items you struggle to source, your supplier rules, and your ERP. That conversation will help assess fit and what an initial workflow could cover.
